Jamison DNA Update

I have learned last week that the DNA test on the remains believed to be Madyson Jamison has been completed.

Law Enforcement is not releasing the report at this time.

The website NamUs which is used by Law enforcement in these cases has also posted a picture on their website of an age progressed Madyson. The picture was made in Feb ’14.

Leaving us yet again with way more questions than answers.  If they thought the remains were hers why go through the motions of doing all this hard work to make up an age-progressed picture?

ON JULY 3RD 2014, THE MEDICAL EXAMINER IN THE CASE POSITIVEY IDENTIFIED ALL THE REMAINS IN THIS CASE AS THAT OF THE JAMISON FAMILY. NO FOUL PLAY IS SUSPECTED IN THE CASE DESPITE RAMPANT SPECULATION OF MANY ON THE WEB. ALTHOUGH NO CAUSE OF DEATH WAS FOUND, INVESTIGATORS NOW BELIEVE THE JAMISONS SIMPLY GOT LOST IN THE THICK MOUNTAIN TERRAIN AND SUCCUMBED TO THE ELEMENTS. WHILE MANY MANY PEOPLE CLOSE TO THE CASE TOLD ME THEY BELIEVED THE JAMISON’S WALKED AWAY. SO MANY THAT IT CONVINCED ME TO BE TRUE. I HAVE ALWAYS HAD INFORMATION TO CONTACT BOTH THE POLICE AND NIKI SHENOLD AT THE BOTTOM OF MY BLOG. AS YOU WILL FIND OUT, I HAVE ALSO PASSED TIPS TO AUTHORITES AND PROVIDED A PERSON WHO BELIEVED THEY SAW THE JAMISONS WITH INFORMATION TO CONTACT AUTHORITES, WHICH THEY DID. I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO REGRETS ABOUT TRYING TO STIR UP INFORMATION AND AWARENESS ON THIS CASE DESPITE THE HORRENDOUES OUTCOME AND CRITICISIMS ABOUT ME BY MS. SHENOLD AND OTHERS.

Below was the age progressed picture of what Madyson Jamison would have looked like had she been alive today.

This story will be featured in the book that has taken me four years to write. “Mysterious Disappearances” will debut in August ’14 after much delay.  It will feature stories of my search for people who have disappeared. It is not a “theory” book. Instead the book will give readers some answers to the questions many have about disappearances. WHAT EXACTLY MAKES PEOPLE DISAPPEAR WITHOUT A TRACE? I’ll tell you about all the scenarios leading up to the conclusion that ultimately missing persons are either DEAD or ALIVE. You’ll hear about real life stories with some of the most bizarre and shocking scenarios imaginable. Remember: Not all the missing persons stories you see on TV mean that the person is a homicide victim.

It will be available right here on my blog in paperback. You will also be able to order it for Ipad and in other e-formats a week after the book is released. Stay tuned.

So are they saying that they have the DNA results for the child but not the adults?

    • Thats what my source told me. The tests were done in Texas.

The medical examiner in Oklahoma says they are not releasing any results at this time.

Law Enforcement has not made any findings public yet either. Just the press release I posted a copy of on my blog.

It is curious that the national database on missing persons cases, NamUs updated an aged progressed picture of Madyson in Feb ’14. Why do that if they believed the remains found in ’13 to be hers?

Personally, this case has taken so many twists and turns I am just as anxious to have a statement from LE as anyone.

First, after the remains were found. Once again I had people tell me all sorts of things that simply could not be verified.

The only thing I know to be true is that the remains were found in close proximity to a cabin in a very popular four wheeler spot.

One person I interviewed who is familiar with that spot was absolutely dumbfounded that the remains were there the whole time and no one saw them.

      • Sara says:

It is truly bizarre. The age progression picture is the strangest part to this already strange mystery. I can understand not wanting to release the cause of death, but I can’t imagine why on earth they would want to keep the DNA results a secret. The results of the McStay family DNA results were released as soon as they were confirmed. I hope both of these cases are resolved quickly.

    Its crazy!!

  3. APerson says:

Yeah, very odd that they are not releasing results. I have been waiting and waiting to hear what is happening and cannot believe they are taking so long to announce anything. This is truly one of the weird cases.

  4. Shay says:

Ive been following this story and do not understand why the results of Dna testing have not been announced. Also, if the remains were truly found in such close proximity to where their abandoned truck was found, how could it be that they were not discovered sooner?

    • Its really unbelievable. DNA was on file in Texas. We should have known by now.
It’s yet another twist in this story.

I wonder if we will ever hear the results publicly. The ID folks were quick to update their site with “found deceased” comments.
I wonder if we will ever REALLY know what happened at all. If it was a murder suicide… if they simply got lost and succumbed to the elements…or if they were victims of a crime. Maybe we won’t hear anything- in which case maybe I was right and this was a “sensitive” disappearance.

I still believe until proven wrong- this was likely a planned event.

    • Danielle says:

Exactly. Right after the truck was discovered. Hundreds of volunteers searched the entire area. Drones were used and the Texas Equestrian search group was present, How could three people be missed in such close proximity with these type of resources. It’s not plausible

  5. Nat says:

I did not know there was 30K under the seat of their truck! It sounds to me like Mr. Jamison was planning to make a down payment on a piece of land in case. He was probably supposed to meet someone there and they knew he would have cash. They met up and then he probably told them he didn’t bring the cash and the dumb killers did not check the truck.

    • Danielle says:

Your exactly right to a certain degree. The Jamisons had video surveillance at their home that had footage of them packing for their trip. Sherilyn was seen taking a brown briefcase to the truck that was never located. The land sale was a ruse set up by someone from that remote area they had no history of ever being at. A GPS was located in the truck. Add’l money was in the truck but the killer never thought to look after taking the briefcase. The Jamisons had isolated themselves from everyone. They did frequent Eufaula Lake which is where I think they met this person with knowledge of that area. They were groomed by this person. The OSBI should have canvassed the docks, cafe, and other areas groups gathered to fish and interact at Eufaula Lake. There are groups of regulars that go there frequently and throughout the year. That’s where they met this individual/ predator. I think money and the little girl were the ultimate things desired.

  6. maysmacker@yahoo.com says:

I was living in oklahoma in Oct 09 the weather was not cold enough for them to succumb to the elements not to mention who dies all together face down all at the same time?!? I don’t know what happened to them but I do not believe it was accidental

    • Marion says:

I am with you maysmacker, I too read they were found faced down. And wounds can be done to a body without evidence found on their bones, you do have a lot of soft tissue as a matter of fact it is the soft tissue, like muscles that keep your bones in place. And first they said it was a murder suicide and now they have succumb to the elements, if you ask me some one does not want this to be investigated.
      Keeps post says this.
One person I interviewed who is familiar with that spot was absolutely dumbfounded that the remains were there the whole time and no one saw them.

And if I remember correctly, I have been saying that in other posts here. A campsite nearby and no one saw or found them for almost four years, only to be found after the macstay family were found . As if the remains were placed there only to be found….,like it to be a sick joke or wanted the search to end, the whole story is still strange to me even today
      Greetings from the Netherlands.

  7. Danielle says:

    1. The Jamisons met this predator at Eufaula Lake. Things were obvious that made them an easy target. He groomed them to gain their trust. He was from the Red Oak area at some point in his life. I am from that area and that would be the only way this family became aware of this area and subsequently traveled there.

    2. Was the seller of the land ever verified? Most of the land where they were found was leased by natural gas compaines after purchasing the mineral rights for the land. If you were from that area you would know that very little land if any is even available for sale in that area. Multiple roads going in and out to that area were made by the gas companies and people from that area know how to go in unseen and leave unseen. It wouldn’t be unusual to see unfamiliar trucks traveling in and out due to it being a popular area for hunting.

    3. What happened to the briefcase Sherilynn was seen by their home surveillance system taking to the truck when packing for their trip? Weather exposure is a ridiculous causation of death in that area during the time of the year. All 3 bodies were found in fairly close proximity to their truck laying face down. A profiler would say that was done due to some type of remorse. They were returned to the area. Right after their truck was found hundreds of locals came and searched on ATV(s), by foot, drones were used, and the Texas Equestrian Search team came also. Their remains were not where they ultimately was discovered.

    4. Their are cabins that are abandoned/rarely used by Red Oak citizens near that area up further on the mountain. I believe the killer picked them up took them to one of those areas/ made the fake sale/ and killed all of them. I don’t know why but I feel the killer had developed a separate and secret relationship with Sherilynn. She had a letter for Bobby I believe to be left behind after she and this man took the money. I also believe the killer was interested in Madyson not Sherilynn.

Who was the owner of the land supposedly for sale ? Those cabins higher up from that area should be checked for forensic/ DNA/ that could have been left behind. Red Oak is a small tight knit community and the killer would have been aware of the cabins owned by ppl he knew who no longer went due to aging and being ill.

Why wasn’t the regulars at Eufaula Lake that fish at the docks to include the enclosed/ heated one, the cafe, local businesses canvassed and asked had they notice the Jamison family interacting more with one of the regulars than others. Had they did this quickly I believe an individual would have been noticed and if a background search done found to have been from the Red Oak area for a significant time period with strong attachments still present. Had he had any type of a camper/truck/ trailer, it should have been checked for DNA. The family was picked up to go and see the land that was never for sale. The entering of another vehicle and the decent weather would explain why they simply parked, got out, and got into the vehicle they had arranged to meet. Whoever killed them was a planner. They were taken to another remote area.

I haven’t been to Red Oak in years and I know of cabins built within fairly close proximity owned by Red Oak locals that were no longer being used. The big question is why they were returned and left in that matter. This simply didn’t happen on its own and had they been there long enough to be skeletal remains, wildlife would have scattered their remains throughout the area. They wouldn’t have been left in tact.

The OSBI cold case unit needs to look at this with fresh eyes. Canvas the regulars that are probably still going to the popular docks. Go to those cabins and luminol them. I heard a criminologist state for every crime God has left a witness.

The OSBI could redeem their terrible history of unsolved murders and missing people by not allowing this family to be murdered for financial gain and perhaps other perverse reasons. Canvas locals present for the search afterwards. Did anyone remember seeing a prior citizen from area just happen to be in the area? Canvas the small businesses in Red Oak and ask the same question.

This case has haunted me for years. I have posted my thoughts on many sites. I have to leave it in God’s hands now.

    • Danielle forgive the late approvals of your posts. I hadn’t monitored the site in some time. The only thing I can tell you is the weather during the time the Jamison’s were up there would have killed any human wondering jacketless or otherwise. I verified the conditions the entire week they were up there from the day they last spoke to the realtor. Heavy rains and a cold night in October would have killed them. (That’s why I believe they were huddled together.) The mysterious realtor from the ID piece was a frail petit older woman that was just as much obsessed with what could have happened as many. I’m very glad she was not connected to the internet in such a way as to hear all the accusations against her.

  8. Marion says:

When you are together in a cold night you hold on together. In siting position knees up and close together. I have never heard of anyone dying lying face down unless you were killed, let alone three people lay face down. Danielle is right a cold case team should look at this, for this is wrong all the way, and the family will never be done justice if people accept the lie that they died there because of the cold. As soon as they disappeared it was said they run to mexico, when they were found it was murder suicide and now it is accidental even though people say it was strange where they were found. Still no one cares for the truth. I say they were murdered but I guess no one wants to listen, or wants the truth to come out. But I was told once that the truth had longer legs than the lie. Some one knows this truth and needs to tell because there was a child’s life taken as well.
